Magnacarta 2 Review
Ahh, Magnacarta 2, while you don't expand my mind on the JRPG formula, you provide a excellent experience on the Xbox 360 that I think every RPG fan should experience.
Story:
The story remineded me of The Last Remnant, it basically involves politics, romance, and adventure. While this concept has been used many times, it's still a pretty good story with some twist-points through out
Gameplay:
The gameplay here reminds me of Rogue Galaxy, it plays out like Final Fantasy XII, but it is more action than strategy (like the Tales series). The battle system never bored me and I enjoyed it the whole time I was playing. The fact that this game plays out like a MMORPG, where you receive side-quests and such makes it even better
Presentation:
While the graphics aren't the best I've seen, I enjoyed them as they stood and....well graphics don't really make a game, right? The sound in this game is also good, while it's not the best soundtrack out there, you won't get annoyed or sick with the music, and the voice acting is actually good in this game compared to other RPGs (looking at you Star Ocean). The only problem I had with the sound though is when you are in battle and your teammates say quotes and repeat themselves over and over.
Verdict:
Overall, this isn't the JRPG that will change what people think of JRPGs, but it's a enjoyable one and to me, one of the best on the Xbox 360
