Plans for the next month (gaming wise)

This past Sunday, I finally completed Magnacarta 2 (which to me, is the easiest JRPG I've ever played, check my review about the game), with nothing new to play I have decided that I will do another Tales of Vesperia playthrough (farming grade for that at the moment), try to get the remaining seven achievements for Borderlands (even if it's a bore-fest to me now), and get all the crew and online ranked match achievements for NBA 2K11.

This may seem like a small list of games to play in the next month, but as you know, Catherine is coming out next month and well....I decided to get the deluxe edition, so I'm going to finish paying that off before I decide to get anything else, and plus there really isn't anything I haven't played yet that interests me in anyway, so yeah

Nintendo-wise, I picked up The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess so I might jump onto that after my Tales of Vesperia playthrough, so yep that's all folks

Games I'm working on this month:
Tales of Vesperia
NBA 2K11
Borderlands

Video Updates

I've decided that I'm going to start doing video game videos on the popular website on the world wide web known as YouTube, while still writing this blog. I think this will be a good decision as with the videos, I can talk about my views on a game, or show you guys what games I recently got.

Magnacarta 2 Review

Magnacarta 2 Review

Ahh, Magnacarta 2, while you don't expand my mind on the JRPG formula, you provide a excellent experience on the Xbox 360 that I think every RPG fan should experience.

Story:
The story remineded me of The Last Remnant, it basically involves politics, romance, and adventure. While this concept has been used many times, it's still a pretty good story with some twist-points through out

Gameplay:
The gameplay here reminds me of Rogue Galaxy, it plays out like Final Fantasy XII, but it is more action than   strategy (like the Tales series). The battle system never bored me and I enjoyed it the whole time I was playing. The fact that this game plays out like a MMORPG, where you receive side-quests and such makes it even better

Presentation:
While the graphics aren't the best I've seen, I enjoyed them as they stood and....well graphics don't really make a game, right? The sound in this game is also good, while it's not the best soundtrack out there, you won't get annoyed or sick with the music, and the voice acting is actually good in this game compared to other RPGs (looking at you Star Ocean). The only problem I had with the sound though is when you are in battle and your teammates say quotes and repeat themselves over and over.

Verdict:
Overall, this isn't the JRPG that will change what people think of JRPGs, but it's a enjoyable one and to me, one of the best on the Xbox 360

I'm done with......

Screw it, it's such a grind fest and I don't have the time for that at the moment. I'll just happily just start playing Magnacarta 2 with the Bonus Pack

I have a Terraria addiction...

This game has been taking up a lot of my time right now

Terraria is a mix of Minecraft with NES Zelda, it's just such a relaxing game as it has no objectives at all and I just enjoy exploring the world the game throws you in

Busy, busy, busy....

The last few days have been busy for me, I've been finishing up school for the year, looking for a part-time job over the summer, and been playing Star Ocean quite a bit. Star Ocean has been an enjoyable game, the achievements might be hard and time consuming, but for now, I'm just enjoying the game and actually haven't been worrying about the achievements (I'm at 90/1000GS at the moment, just in case you were wondering). Last time I played (which was Sunday), I had just arrived on the planet Roak and I managed to get to the town on the planet, but found an inn and saved. I will have the time to play it today and I hope I'm able to get to the boss battle by tonight.

I went shopping Friday and I went by GameStop and picked up Magna Carta 2 (which I heard is a pretty good JRPG for the 360) and I FINALLY was able to find a copy of Dark Cloud for the PS2 for the low price of $6. =}

Well, I slept in for a little today, but need to go get ready for school, as I have a exam today. Until next time guys....

Star Ocean + MLB 2K10 = Pretty fun day

I finally got a chance to get back into Star Ocean, great game overall, just horrible English dubs. Went and picked up MLB 2K10 yesterday, and I've been having a blast playing it, the My Player mode is actually pretty deep and it's a lot easier than NBA 2K11's My Player mode.

Playstation 2, such a great console

I went out of town this weekend and decided to bring my Playstation 2 along with me, why must you ask? I've barely played it in almost a year and I had just picked up Sakura Wars (great game) and wanted to play it. The PS2 is a console I think I won't ever forget, it's the console I think that defines my childhood (was my main console from when I was 10 to about 16 years old) and playing games on there brings back good memories

Star Ocean is a blast

I just got my copy of Star Ocean: The Last Hope yesterday and I must say, I'm enjoying it so far. The battle system is excellent, feels like a old-school JPG (if you played older Star Ocean games), but I'm not enjoying the voice-acting at all! Edge Maverick's and Reimi's voices are alrigt, but all of the others just suck. I can see myself enjoying this one for quite sometime.....

and no, I'm not planning on getting all of the achievements on this one

Dragon Age: Origins.....

Is finally completed! I'm so glad to finally finish this medicore title, but what was even sweeter is that my game glitched, so it gave me both achievements for completing the game....

GUARDIAN HEROES!!!!!!

Yes, Guardian Heroes was just announced for XBLA today and all I have to say is.......FUCK YEAH! Gotta love old-school beat-em-ups, and plus it has RPG elements, and plus it's made by Treasure (who made Gunstar Heroes and a bunch of other great titles). I hope with this Saturn game coming out, Sega decides to release more Saturn games (looking at you NiGHTS and Panzer Dragoon Saga)

A Dragon Age Review...

I'm going to keep this review short and sweet....

I picture Bioware sitting in their office, deciding a excellent game to make. They couldn't think of a new combat system, so they just recycle the combat system for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, but for some odd reason, it feels unpolished. They also invest a good amount of time into the story and voice acting (which are both excellent), but decide that the graphics don't need to look nice (compared to Mass Effect).

I really think this game would've been better as a movie or a novel

Oh and I decided to pick up Star Ocean: The Last Hope, I'm wishing myself good luck on getting achievements on this one....

I am one busy guy

I haven't had any time to play today, but I'm managing to catch a playthrough of Trouble Witches Neo really quick, and I also ordered a DVD set of one of my favorite shows today Azumanga Daioh, so that made me one happy person.

And no, I still haven't finished Dragon Age: Origins yet.....

Playing shmups and finishing a so-so RPG

After doing some exciting work at the air show today, I came home to play some Trouble Witches Neo (terrific shmup by the way) and I have found something out; playing on the hardest difficulty will hurt your eyes, as there are so many bullets and enemies on the screen at once. After playing that for a while, I decided to start playing Dragon Age: Origins, which I hadn't touched in a week or so. I'm getting close to the conclusion of the game and I must say, while I enjoyed the story, the combat was rather boring to me. It reminded me of Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic, but less polished I must say. What were your guys thought on DA:O? Did you enjoy it, or was the sequel (DA 2) more enjoyable?

And by the way, here's footage of a game I'm keeping my eyes on

Currently Playing: Trouble Witches Neo & Dragon Age: Origins (hopefully should be finished with this one by tonight)

The start of something new

After being recently banned from Cheap Ass Gamer (will be refereed to as CAG from here on) for no specific reason, I decided to venture out and try to discover another gaming community, sadly enough though, one couldn't be found, so that's why I have turned over a new leaf and entered the world of blogging. On this wonderful site by the name of Blogger (or Blogspot), I will tell my fellow readers anything that's on my mind about video games (just like I did on CAG). I know this post wasn't anything special or intersting, but more will come

See you guys on the flip side

Currently playing: Dragon Age: Origins & Trouble Witches Neo
